"My most interesting life experience has been life itself."
 Born in England, John moved to Toronto at the tender age of 10. A naturally gifted artist, he studied at the Ontario College of Art and soon ventured into the strange world of television and feature film production - a world that quickly put his vast array of talents to good use. "At that time in Toronto, not many companies were doing that kind of work. We learned a lot through trial and error." John did everything from special effects to face casting to set design to building props. His credits are too numerous to mention, but more than once, John and his co-workers received honorary mentions at the Cannes film festival for Commercials. Years later, John packed up his wealth of creative tools and moved west to Vancouver Island British Columbia. Toronto's loss was Campbell River's gain. "I was attracted to the scenery, the people, and the lifestyle. This is a wonderful place for my son to grow up." When not working with Splashes From The River, John lends his skills to the theater as a technical director, set designer, painter and even actor. John is also an accomplished guitar player, singer and song writer and enjoys playing in various groups. His philosophy of life is to enjoy the now and not take things for granted.
