Lesson 3: Compound Subject And Compound Predicate
(6:32)
"A sentence is divided into two parts: The subject and the predicate. Compound means more than one." Marie uses the act of chopping wood, placing it in a wheelbarrow, wheeling it to the woodpile, and stacking it, to illustrate simple subjects and predicates, and compound subjects and predicates. She shows how compound sentences can be transformed into simple sentences using compound subjects or compound predicates.
