Lesson 15: Inflection Of Nouns For Subjective Case
(4:51)
"Case is the relation of a noun to other words in a sentence. The three cases are: Subjective or Nominative Case, Objective or Accusative Case, and Possessive or Genetive Case." Marie is taking some things out of her guest room to donate to Goodwill, and sprucing up the bed with a hand made patchwork quilt. She explains that the Subjective Case of nouns refers to the main subject of a verb, the subjective complement of a copula verb, and the noun of address. As she organizes the room she provides examples of all three.
