Lesson 11: Conjunctive Adjectives & Adverbs (4:22)
"A conjunctive adjective is a word that does the work of both a conjunction and an adjective. A conjunctive adverb does the work of both a conjunction and an adverb. They both modify and connect." Marie is up in her loft, spending some quality time with her recorder. She is practicing her new arrangement of variations on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Between toots she provides examples of how a word can be used as both an adjective and a conjunction - modifying nouns or pronouns, and joining subordinate clauses and principal clauses; and, how a word can be used as both an adverb and a conjunction - modifying a verb, and joining subordinate clauses and principal clauses.
