English Grammar Lesson 17: Adjective Clauses (5:32)
"Adjective clauses do the work of adjectives or adjective phrases. Adjective clauses modify nouns or pronouns. They may be restrictive or non-restrictive." Marie has decided that she is going to make a large mural depicting her beach cottage, out of things she finds on the seashore. In preparation for this creative undertaking she is beach-combing for shells on the beach. She is collecting her treasures in a little blue plastic bucket. She provides examples of adjective clauses modifying both nouns and pronouns; then explains how to differentiate between a restrictive adjective clause, and a non-restrictive adjective clause.
