Lesson 14: Comparison Of Adjectives #2
(5:45)
Marie is standing before her picture window gazing out at a wild squabbling of the elements. The wind is riled. The clouds are puffy and swollen from shedding so many drenching, frustrated tears. Furious breakers are crashing over Eagle Rock and pummeling the beach. A family of ducks rides the swells like a roller coaster. It's thrilling to watch from the safe, cozy, crackling-fire comforts of the cottage. "Adjectives are compared in three ways." Using the waves, flowering house plants, and original works of painted art to illustrate her points, Marie enlightens us about the three forms of adjective comparison: regular, phrasal, and irregular.
